Some public square I saw when we are at the top of the city. Quebec city is one huge mountain, and some of the streets are super steep. There was actually a public elevator we could use to take us to the top, HELL NO was I dragging my bike by foot to get to the top of the city.
Ughhh, Montreal is a bit like that too with the plateau being at a raised altitude. In Toronto, everything is flat. Why should I have to break my thighs just to go from street to the other? And in Montreal wintertime with the ice it is also very dangerous. Sometimes cars can't even get up the hill. Quebec city is even more slope-y, but adds to charm of the streets, and some scenic views when ur really at the top of the city. Old Quebec city there is crazy hilly. You get ur tourist workout climbing super steep stairs.
This is the Museé de Beaux Arts de Ville de Québec ... omg ... we were so pissed this beautiful little patio overlooking the hill didn't serve alcohol!!!
